Cash's Week 1 NFL Picks

I've always wanted to keep track of a full season of my NFL picks against the spread...so this is gonna be the year that it actually gets done.  But let me explain how I do thigns...I've never been a guy that feels like I want to "put myself out there" picking every game against the spread....rather, I'd like to only pick games that I'm comfortable with...

So I won't be picking anything more than a handful of games each NFL weekend...maybe only one...AND I reserve the right to tack on a bonus pick for the Monday nighter...Remember, I'm weird...and I feel that I can't properly focus on the Monday game until all the cludder of Sunday is out of my mind.  (Not to mention the fact that early in the season I might like to see how past opponents of the Monday night teams do so that I can properly judge what I've seen of them in the weeks prior....if that makes sense)...

ANYWAY...The first Sunday of the NFL Season has just two picks:

Cincinnati +3 at Chicago - As we mentioned on the show yesterday, I've got the Bengals winning the division this year...they are a playoff team with a ruthless defesne, a solid QB and a lot of weapons for that QB to look for. The Bears have a new HC in Trestman that has an offense that must be run with precision, but a gunslinger running it.  Plus the Bears are getting old on defense and, while I'm a HUGE fan of the Cowboys doing nothing but drafting O-Lineman, I'm not a huge fan of having to start two of them right next to each other on the offensive line in week 1....I smell early problems for the Bears...

Give me the better team getting points...and the Bengals.

Bucs -3 at NYJ - I have friends that would give me shit for this pick because, lets face it...there's somthing that smells bad about this line. The Jets are a mess from top to bottom.  EVERYONE knows that Rex Ryan is going to be fired this season...probably mid-season unless some really suprising things happen.  He's been nuetered, the team is falling apart, it lacks talent at most offensive positions, is starting a rookie QB and basically the J-E-T-S SUCK, SUCK, SUCK...

So why's it only 3 points?  UGH...I don't know either..Doug Martin goes nuts and the Bucs win big!

OK...Let's see how this goes...good luck everybody!
